Firing In Srinagar, khanyar Two Injured

SRINAGAR:   Firing shots were heard in Khalifapora area of Khanyar in Srinagar on Tuesday. A vehicle was damaged in an attack at Khanyar area of Srinagar on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. KL Image: Special Arrangement Witnesses said the shots were heard in the Sheeraz Chowk of Khanyar. A police official said the target was a police party that was travelling in a civil Ford Figo Vehicle (JK01Q-7241). Two persons were injured. One is a cop and another a civilian. The latter was identified as Ishtiyaq Ahmad, a resident of Nowshehra. Police have reached the spot and evacuated the injured to the hospitals. While the civilian was sent to the JLKM Rtainawari and the cop, most probably, was removed to SMHS Srinagar. An unconfirmed report said the cops has received the bullet in his a\abdomen. Police have reached the spot and after taking the injured to the hospitals have cordoned off the cluster of houses. Further details awaited.
